My College, Remembered again!!!!

Not placed far away is my college

Where I left/felt my life and being

The temple where I learned off

Love, friends and brotherhood.

Cast away from here, I was,

After my studies, it was like

The death of someone near

I couldn’t fathom the loss.

The classrooms, library, grounds

And the canteen, where we lived through

The places that gave us life and power

Where love and understanding grew.

I was too young then

To realise one day I’l be back

How often have I thought of going back

To the place I felt belonged.

Just to peer out through the open classroom window

To run about playfully in the ground

To sit happily on the college outer wall

To converse with my dear teachers…..

You all wouldn’t believe dears,

That I had a blessed college

That I am so proud off and loves

To guide one through the way of life.

I, who lost my way in the world of haziness

Now yearns to be back home

To receive love and respect

From thee, my alma mater.
